CEO/Licensed Insurance Agent
Originally from North Dakota, I am married with two active boys. I have been an independent insurance agent since 2005 where I have specialized in Life, individual, Medicare products, and small group insurance needs. I started Crosstown Insurance in 2012 and added home and auto insurance to my product line in 2015. I currently serve on the association board for the Minnesota Association of Health Underwriters (MAHU) and love what I do!
Life, Disability and Long Term Care Agent
As a life insurance agent I develop and implement comprehensive plans for clients who span the spectrum, from entrepreneurs, small business owners, and executives to young families with small children, single professionals, empty-nest parents and retired adults. I work with my clients to create a plan that meets their needs, from complex planning to simple and straight forward planning. Specifically, I have expertise in the following:
*Integrating insurance and estate planning
*Utilizing specific tools to reduce taxes and liabilities for families and businesses
*Transitioning business and family wealth, including residency planning, foreign insurance use and the creation of trusts
*Ensuring that if you pass away or become disabled, your family is provided for and will have the confidence that their financial future is secure
I have a passion for the value that I know I can bring to my clients and an expertise and knowledge base to give them sound advice on what are very personal issues.
When I am not working I like to spend time with my wife and daughter, travel, be on the water and watch Sprint Car Races. I am on the board of the Minnesota Association of Health Underwriters and Twin Cities Muskie’s Inc.
Licensed Insurance Agent
I am an independent insurance agent. I Was a Montessori teacher, so I always had love and passion in helping people whether it be children or working with adults. I began working for Crosstown as a front desk administrator, then worked my way up to office manager and now I am a licensed expert in Medicare Insurance. My current role as an agent and office manager gives me the opportunity to meet with Crosstown clients and help guide them through the complexities of the different types of Medicare plans available.
After struggling to write my bio, a wise person told me, “A bio is to let people know who you are.” Immediately, a light turned on and I thought of my parents and family because they have everything to do with who I am. My parents grew up in a farming community and they raised my family of 3 sisters and 3 brothers in the NW suburbs of Minneapolis.
My mom died much too young, but she and my dad did a great job instilling wonderful values by their examples, such as: strong faith, family traditions, helping others, and working hard. Whether I was babysitting, serving as a youth minister, helping women build their businesses with Mary Kay, or working as a paralegal for 20 years, I realized the common denominator was “helping people.” It’s who my parents were and it’s who they taught me and my siblings to be.
I am blessed with a wonderful spouse of almost 28 years, and a beautiful daughter who is a freshman in college. We enjoy spending time outdoors, baking in the kitchen, or seeing a good movie together.
I’m excited to work with my new “Crosstown family” and continue the legacy of helping people.
With my youngest 2 kids in college, it’s been a new stage of life for me, including getting back into the workforce. I’m excited to be a part of the wonderful team at Crosstown Insurance. Serving and helping others gives me great joy.
I’ve had the privilege to be active and serve in various leadership volunteer positions, including leading a girl’s discipleship group for 10 years, coordinating competitive and synchronized swimming teams, and homeschooling my kids for a number of years. My background includes a Marketing degree from Drake University.
My husband, Gary, and I have been married for 29 years and are blessed with 3 adult kids.
Activities that I’m always trying to fit in my schedule are swimming and home improvement projects.
I am thankful for the opportunity to partner with the team at Crosstown to provide excellent service for our clients.
Licensed Insurance Agent
As an independent insurance agent, I take great pride in helping people find comfort and peace of mind with their Medicare insurance options.
Born and raised here in the metro area, I really enjoy the sense of community and values of the people of Minnesota. I am happily married with a beautiful daughter. Aside for time with family and the ever-present tasks of homeownership, I enjoy playing the bass guitar and woodworking.
As an agent, I will discuss your options and find answers to questions regarding your choices. Ultimately, I hope to guide you in your important decisions regarding your Medicare insurance. I genuinely look forward to meeting with you.
Licensed Insurance Agent
As a teen, trying to decide what I wanted to do after high school, I recall talking with my mom about what I didn’t want to do. I only knew that I wanted to work with people and that is what I did! Having spent 20 years in direct patient care, it was time to move on. However, I continued to have a desire to interact with and help others.
During my time of transition, I found myself wondering what I wanted to do next. Leaving my job, I was now without health insurance for not only myself but my family. I came across Crosstown in pursuing my options for health insurance and I am glad I did! Even after 20 years in health care, I knew very little about health insurance. There is so much I know now that I wish I would have known then having joined the Crosstown team. I have completed my insurance training, received my license, and continue ongoing training. My goal is to serve as your insurance expert helping you navigate through the process of selecting a health insurance plan that meets your and/or your family’s needs.
When I am not in the office, I am on the run chauffeuring one of my two very active boys to an activity while my husband is running with the other one. I am the mom of a Type1 diabetic warrior, a teen (enough said), and wife of 18 years. When I do have a spare moment, I enjoy reading, dining out, spending time with friends, traveling, and some all-around good “mom time” with other moms.
Licensed Insurance Agent
I began my insurance career while in high school and have never looked back. After 34 years in property & casualty insurance, I truly appreciate being an independent agent. I couldn’t be more eager to become a valued asset to the Crosstown Insurance family.
It’s my passion to protect what matters most to every client. Having access to a multitude of insurance companies makes it more enjoyable to find the right fit for each individual.
Spending most of my life “south of the river,” I’ve recently planted my feet near our New Hope office. Whether tooling around in the yard, up at the cabin, fishing, hunting, or exploring our gorgeous state, my time outside of the office is spent with my family. When we hit the 4-wheeling trails, my son enthusiastically exclaims, “A little mud never hurt anyone!”
With that being said, I welcome the opportunity to roll up my sleeves and find the appropriate protection for you and what matters most to you.
Becoming an empty nester, it was time for me to decide “what do I do now?”. I had been working part time at a friend’s business doing bookkeeping and other office duties, but decided it was time for something more. I was excited to be hired by Crosstown Insurance as a full-time member of the Operations Team.
I am lucky I was born in MN because if there is a chance to be on one the many lakes we have here, I will be there kayaking, boating, or being pestered to fish instead of just enjoying the view! Spending time with my 2 kids, visiting my family and friends, reading, and learning something new are a few ways I spend my free time
Starting a new journey is always a bit scary, but the team at Crosstown made the transition easy. Being lucky enough to join the Crosstown team has been a rewarding experience, allowing me to be able to work with a great group of people who love helping others navigate the insurance world. It is my privilege to help the clients and agents reach their goals as seamlessly as possible.
As the Receptionist and an Operations Team member, I experience the best of all worlds at Crosstown Insurance. Whether greeting people on the phone or in person at the office, it is always a pleasure to meet new friends and reunite with those we have known over the years. To have the confidence to pass the customer on to a team of expert insurance agents with outstanding knowledge, compassion for others, and determination to get the job done brings great satisfaction.
My Education degree from Tennessee Temple University prepared me for more than teaching. I home schooled my three children and taught classes in a home school co-op, worked in the financial services industry as client service manager, and was a personal caregiver to several elderly friends. These experiences brought new skills, but more importantly new relationships.
I have been married to Rick for 35 years and we have three adult children; two are married and live in the Minneapolis area and our youngest will be married in October 2020.
I enjoy being part of a book club, golfing, relaxing by a fire in the driveway with friends, and listening to all kinds of music.
Give us a call at Crosstown Insurance! As the saying goes, “There are no strangers, just friends we haven’t met yet.”
This place is so good. They have the best rates, easy to work with and turns it around very quickly - even if off hours - they're on it. I recommend them to all my family & close friends."
